Even overnachten op het strand van de vergane glorie op Pasir Putih, of naar Probolinggo als startpunt voor een Bromo-tour. Hoe was het er 100 jaar geleden? Hieronder een kleine impressie. Mogelijk betreft het hier de woning van Ch.E. Bodemeyer, in 1909 assistent-resident te Probolinggo, die in 1911 resident werd van Madoera. Een andere mogelijke kandidaat is Ch.F.P. Bodemeyer, in 1908 buitengewoon voorzitter landraad te Probolinggo.<\/span><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<figure id=\"attachment_3377\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3377\" style=\"width: 611px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3377\" src=\"https:\/\/pentalpha.nl\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Probolinggo1914\/Probolinggo1914_009-300x156.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"611\" height=\"318\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3377\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\"><strong>Groep &#8220;Hooiwagen&#8221;, wellicht betreft dit een bal masqu\u00e9 groepje, of een tableau vivant-gezelschap.<\/strong><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<figure id=\"attachment_3379\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3379\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3379\" src=\"https:\/\/pentalpha.nl\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Probolinggo1914\/Probolinggo1914_010-300x147.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"299\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3379\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Gezelschap te Klakah, enkele tientallen km&#8217;s zuidelijk van Probolinggo aan de zuid Semeroe-route gelegen. Er liep een spoorverbinding van Probolinggo via Klakah naar o.a. Loemadjang, Djember, Bondowoso\/Sitoebondo en uiteindelijk naar Banjoewangi. <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Foto is mogelijk gemaakt aan de hellingen van de G. Lamongan.
